Наибольший риск развития сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний связан с висцеральным ожирением. Компьютерная томография является наилучшим методом определения висцерального ожирения, но высокая стоимость, низкая доступность и ионизизирующее излучение ограничивают ее использование. Ультразвуковое определение внутрибрюшного расстояния между брюшными мышцами и аортой, как было показано, высоко коррелирует с компьютерно-томографическим определением жира и совместно с другими антропометрическими методами может стать альтернативой определения висцерального жира, а также широко использоваться в клинических и антропометрических исследованиях.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Obesity is present in over 50% of men and 70% of women. Greater health risks development of cardio-vascular disease have been associated with the visceral obesity. Computed tomography is the reference method for intra-abdominal fat evaluation, but high cost, low availability and ionizing radiation risks prevent it from being a widely usable method. Ultrasound measurement of intra-abdominal distance between abdominal muscle and aorta, which has been shown to correlate well with computed tomography intra-abdominal fat measurements, is proposed together with other anthropometric measurements as an alternative means of predicting body fat and also confirmed as a reliable instrument for clinical and epidemiologic studies.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>висцеральное ожирение</kwd><kwd>компьютерная томография</kwd><kwd>ультразвуковое исследование</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>visceral obesity</kwd><kwd>computed tomography</kwd><kwd>ultrasonography</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Анциферов М.Б.
