Компьютерные мультимедийные интерактивные симуляции сценариев диагностики и лечения позволяют избежать риска неправильных действий в отношении реального больного, повторять клинические ситуации неограниченное количество раз, стандартизовать задания и критерии оценки их выполнения. Виртуальные пациенты являются фактологической основой проблемно-ориентированного обучения.В обзоре рассмотрены применение этой образовательной технологии для формирования навыков принятия врачебных решений за рубежом, ее педагогическая эффективность, варианты использования линейных и разветвленных сценариев. В метаанализах показана педагогическая эффективность виртуальных пациентов и заинтересованность обучающихся. Интеграция виртуальных пациентов в образовательный процесс способствует геймификации клинической подготовки, что стимулирует студентов и врачей к интерактивности и командной работе.
