Abstract

The main stages of vital way, scientific and educational activities of outstanding Tomsk scientist, academician of the Russian of Medical Sciences and academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Ecological Sciences have been presented.
Nikolai Vladimirovich Vasilyev was the head of Tomsk School of immunologists. He contributed greatly to the development of non-infectious immunology, especially to oncoimmunology and ecologic immunology. His fundamental scientific developments and hypotheses continue to be the base for scientific investigations of his followers.
