SUB-FACULTY SCIENTIFIC MEDICAL SCHOOLS
The main stages of vital way, scientific and educational activities of outstanding Tomsk scientist, academician of the Russian of Medical Sciences and academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Ecological Sciences have been presented.
Nikolai Vladimirovich Vasilyev was the head of Tomsk School of immunologists. He contributed greatly to the development of non-infectious immunology, especially to oncoimmunology and ecologic immunology. His fundamental scientific developments and hypotheses continue to be the base for scientific investigations of his followers.
The main stages of scientific activities and main published works in scientific heritage of outstanding scientist N.V. Vasilyev., academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and academician of the Ukrainian of Ecological Sciences have been presented.
EXPERIMENTAL AND CLINICAL INVESTIGATIONS
The advantages of compensatory – adaptive reaction here studied in 67 patients with duodenal ulcer operated on by organ – preserving techniques Bilrot-I and duodenoplasty. The advantages of adaptation include the values of immune (cellular and humoral immunity) and hormone status (insulin, cortisol, ACTG), peripheral blood indexes (morphological composition and biochemical indexes), vegetative system status and general adaptation syndrome characteristics.
Antioxidant activity (AOA) was measured in 185 inhabitants of the town of Seversk (members of 43 families and unrelated individuals). AOA was defined on the ability of a blood plasma to reduce an output of products, reacting with thiobarbituric acid in the model system «lecithine-Fe2 +-ions». Polymorphism of gastrointestinal glutathione peroxidase (GPX2) gene (two-allelic dinucleotide (TC)n repeat polymorphism) was investigated in 208 individuals. The presence of seasonal changes was revealed and no influences of sex and age on AOA in the considered group were shown. Approximately 50% variance in total AOA was due to the additive effects of genes. No statistical significant association between genetic variability of GPX2 and AOA variation was revealed. Estimation of GPX2 genetic variability contribution to AOA level was 2.53%.
An observative study of infectionary risk factors (simple herpes virus, toxoplasm, cytomatagalovirus, helminths, candida, staphylocoque, listeriosis) in reagine immunopathological reactions development has been undertaken in a basic group of 3183 patients. In the study the «case-control» method of populate investigation was being used. The patients of representative sample (293 persons) with atopic diseases have been investigated for specific antibodies for these diseases and IgE antibodies. The study results in a statistically trustworthy association between the simple herpes infection, cytomatagalovirus, helminths and candida infections, the IgE hyperproduction, and a numeral increase both of patients with combined forms of atopy and of accompanying diseases. The aforesaid makes us refer these infections to the risk factors causing infavourable development of atopic diseases. In the contrary, helminths infection in atopic patients correlates with decrease of IgE production that in general approves the so-called «hygienic hypothesis».
Conducted benchmark analysis of influence to mechanical punctures, transmyocardial radiofrequency influence and lazer radiating on myocardium. Study is conducted on 284 rats. Transmyocardial revascularization (ТМR) was executed with use intramuscular needle, Nd:YAG lazer, radiofrequency generator with needle electrode. Study of vascular density and myocardial perfusion was conducted through 1, 2, 4 and 8 weeks.
Maximum increasing vascular density was observed on 4 week. In groups with radiofrequency TMR and Nd:YAG TMR specific vascular volume is enlarged in 5 once (26,9 ± 1,9% and 22,2 ± 1,7%, accordingly; Р < 0,05) in contrast with the checking group (4,9 ± 1,6%). In the group with mechanical ТМР specific vascular volume is enlarged small (6,1 ± 1,3%). Increasing an accumulation 99mTc-myoview in the group with radiofrequency TMR occurred on 8 week by comparing with the checking group, it has formed 2,82 ± 0,31% (Р < 0,05) and 1,68 ± 0,21% accordingly.
Conclusion: Analysis of vascular density points to alike efficiency of lazer and radiofrequency transmyocardial revascularization. Radiofrequency ТМR causes an increasing vascular density and improvement myocardial perfusion in ischemic myocardium.
