Abstract

In the course of experiments in 210 white mongrel male rats, endured 5-min clinical death from acute blood loss the mechanisms of energy, carbohydrate, lipid metabolism disturbance in postresuscitated brain tissue have been studied. It has been established that primary and secondary hypoxia, metabolic acidosis, excessive lipid peroxidation process activity, endotoxemia, neuron overload by Ca ions appeared to be the principle pathogenetic factors of the abovementioned disturbances. Pathogenetic block-scheme of early postresuscitation metabolic disturbances in brain was presented. The validity of this block-scheme principle theses was demonstrated by means of gutimin antihypoxanths (50 mg/kg) and sodium γ-hydroxybutyrate (300 mg/kg), ionolantioxidant (100 mg/kg), slow isoptin Ca-canals blocker (0,1 mg/kg) injected before clinical death.

Abstract

An objective of this investigation is to study disease prevalence in children residing at territories of falling of separable parts from second stages of space crafts rocket-carriers. The areas of falling and the adjacent areas are the territories of increased ecological risk. The reason is that they are used as dumps for wastes from space-rocket activity: metal fragments of worn-out second stages of rocket-carriers and toxic guarantee remnants of liquid rocket fuel components.
In the scope of the study a profound medical examination of children (0—14 years) has been conducted. The main and control group included correspondingly 750 and 312 children.
Obtained intensive, extensive and standardized rates of pathological affection have been analyzed (table 1—3).
Prevalence rates of pathologies in children residing at territories, adjacent to areas of falling of parts of rocketcarriers, increase significantly the control rates. This fact provides steady scientific claims for discussion of direct association between the observed pathology and prolonged space-rocket activity in the region.

Abstract

In the present work the antiviral activity of water extract, received from Pеnthaphylloides fruticosa (L.) O. Scwarz, against Enteroviruses Coxsackie B (CVB) was studied. The maximal intoxic dose of the preparation for the cell-culture (CC) Нер-2 was 1500 mg/ml. It was found, that a preliminary processing of the CC by substance 24 hours before the virus contamination suppresses the virus reproduction in minimal inhibition doses 31 mg/ml — for CVB1-5 and 63 mg/ml — for CVB6. After that, the prophylactic action of the water extract against CVB3 was showed in experimental infection in newborn mice. It maximal intoxic doses for BALB/c mice is 100 mg/kg. The scheme with the preliminary inoculation of pregnant mice by 40 mg/kg of water extract within 3—5 days and following contamination of new-born animals by 100 DLM of virus, showed positive results: increase percent of survival and average life duration, improving of weight dynamics, decrease of virus accumulation level in tissues of brain, liver, heart. The received results determine good prospects for further investigation of water extract from Pеnthaphylloides fruticosa as prophylactic antiviral remedy.

Abstract

We researched musculocutaneous samples in two experimental groups, including 19 Chernobyl liquidation participants and 27 residents of the Siberian chemical combine zone, to trace the changes, which had happened in their skin after a long period of constant small-scale ionizing radiation influence.
The analysis showed that the greatest changes had taken place in the epidermis of both groups in the form of thickening of horny and cellular layers and inflammatory infiltration of lymphocytes provided with the productive panvasculitis in the majority of arterioles.
It is supposed, that after the long small-scale irradiation influence, in the skin develops two forms of reaction: defense reaction in the form of proliferative hyperkeratosis and immunopathological reaction, which is a consequence of activation in the cellular layer of epidermis combined with the appearance of effector section of immune answer, which stimulates the interaction of epidermal T-lymphocytes with the endothelial cells of derma vessels and participation of blood vessels of microcircular channel.

Abstract

We present data of clinical-genealogical study of patients with chronic obstructive bronchitis (82 people) and control group (108 people). Study of frequency of lung’s disease in parents and relatives of seek patients and patients from control group revealed the prevalence of bronchopulmonary pathology in the first group in comparison with the second. Study of frequency morbidity depending on the gender of descendents determined the significant prevalence in girls than in boys. Study of type of family burdening in seek patients revealed the prevalence of the type «seek mother, healthy father».

Abstract

The aim of research is to show the possibility and efficiency of conservative treatment of intestinal intussusception at the children older than 1 year because on the one hand, there is no common opinion about the tactics of treatment of this disease. On the other hand, during the period of last 10 years the number of children with intussusception has been increasing, running up to 50%.
In the hospital from 1976 till 2001 there were 183 children older than 1 year with intestinal intussusception. It is 49.7% of all patients with this disease. The conservative treatment was used for 166 children with precisely determined diagnosis (97.6%). Exsanguinate method of treatment turned to be very effective at 159 patients (95.8%). The treatment failed only for 7 patients (4.2%). So, the possibility and efficiency of conservative treatment at children is demonstrated.

Abstract

Bronchial asthma has three main components: persistent bronchial inflammation, reversible bronchial obstruction and bronchial hyperresponsiveness to nonspecific triggers. Airway hyperresponsiveness is a complex phenomenon that develops upon the influence of chronic inflammation, high total IgE, changes in bronchial smooth muscle cells functioning, structural changes in bronchial wall and disturbances in neural regulation of bronchial tone.

Abstract

The method of estimation of the blood supply of the sternum by combined use of both single photon emission computed tomography and three-phased dynamic scintigraphy with 99mTc-methylene diphosphonate with determination of 99mTc-methylene diphosphonate sternal vis-à-vis vertebral uptake allows to carry out early diagnosis of the sternal hypoperfusion after operations on the chest wall and determine the postoperative osteomyelitis and mediastinitis risk groups in patients. By using of the method it is possible to keep forehanded prophylactic measures on prevention of development of the sternal osteomyelitis. The proposed method decreases the cost of the examination and radiation capacity on patient. The recommendations are designed for radiologists, cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons.

Abstract

The aim of the research is the study of efficiency of early postoperative rehabilitation of patients with purulent inflammatory formations of uterine appendages with microwave therapy. Postoperative treatment of 36 women-patients with the use of combined skin and intravaginal microwave exposure was done. The clinical characteristics of postoperative period and the results of the therapy in 18 month were studied. Dynamical changes of quantitative characteristics of cells at leukemia, of C-reactive protein, content in blood serum, in cervical canal and endometrium of tumor necrosis factor-alpha, interleukin-1 beta and interleukin-6 were estimated. If comparing with the patients who didn’t get physiotherapy exposure the use of microwave therapy at the patients with purulent tubo-ovarian formations was followed by earlier disappearance of inflammation, restoration of quantitative characteristics of leucocytes in blood, normalization of C-reactive protein concentration in blood serum and normal characteristics of erythrocyte sedimentation rate. Diminution of tumor necrosis factor-alpha in blood serum, interleukin-1 beta and interleukin-6, reduction of concentration in cervical canal and endometrium interleukin-6 were observed. In the postoperative period under the microwave therapy womenpatients had pain in pelvis, disturbance of menstrual cycle, 26,5% of women had the reproductive function to be restored.

Abstract

Girls-teenagers (n = 85) aged from 8 to 18 years having diabetes mellitus (DM) of the 1st type were investigated using ultrasonography method. Based upon decreasing and disproportion of the body and neck of the uterus, changed Mecho thickness and ovaries structure, different parameter of blood flow, we worked out classification of the four stages of sexual development delay (SDD) (0 stage in 15 girls, I stage in 26 girls, II stage in 20 girls and III stage in 21 girls). Comparative analysis of clinical and ultrasound studies showed the advantage of ultrasound study to assess status of internal genital organs in girls and teenagers having DM. Investigation performed based upon E. Tanner classification revealed SDD 40 girls, bimanual examination in 45 girls, sonography method — in 82 girls. The given ultrasound classification of sexual development delay in girls-teenagers having DM of the 1st type contributes to diagnosis and prescribing timely effective correction therapy.
