Abstract

Questions of early forecasting of character of current of tick-borne encephalitis and as investigation differential the approach to therapy in the first days of illness remain one of the sharpest problems. Comparison of the revealed clinical and laboratory criteria in allows essentially to expand opportunities of definition of weight and the forecast of this infection.

Abstract

Clinical displays of the early period of meningitis and meningoencephalitis induced by tick-borne encephalitis have significant similarity and can not serve as reliable criteria of weight, the forecast and differential to therapy. Mixed somatic pathology of degenerative nature, which was revealed in the study of the majority of patients with tick-borne encephalitis, more often including the initial central nervous system affliction under conditions of negative changes of organism reactivity, is regarded as one of the main reasons of infection conversion into disease. The virus becomes an aggression factor at such joint biological causes, changing endobiocenosis, which is of great importance for substantiation of curing therapy.

Abstract

The aim of work is to exposure how disbalance of male sex hormones in the period of the age-specific reorganization affects development of atherosclerosis and vascular disorders by the example of ischemic stroke, establishment of correlation between hormonal dysfunction by the example testosterone and lipid metabolism according to the somatic type in the critical period of ischemic stroke. The pilot analysis of level of sex hormones by the example testosterone, lipids and body mass index confirms that there is correlation between these indices. Rising of body mass index is accompanied by reduction of sex hormone concentration, but for all that levels of cholesterol and atherogenic fraction are increased.

Abstract

Diagnostics of tick-borne encephalitis and Lyme borreliosis is possible only by laboratory confirmation. The purpose of the investigation was the study of possibilities of immunoferment analysis and polymerase chain reaction for early diagnostics of these infections. It was revealed that mixinfection of patient does not influence on revelation of infectious agent by immunoferment analysis and polymerase chain reaction in the early period of disease. For initial diagnostics of focal and meningeal forms of tick-born neuroinfections, revelation IgM in blood serum is the most informative. The investigation of patient liquor by the method of polymerase chain reaction is the most available for diagnostics of early neuroborreliosis. The combination of methods (immunoferment analysis and polymerase chain reaction) increases the effectiveness of early laboratory diagnostics of focal and meningeal forms of tick-born encephalitis and Lyme borreliosis.

Abstract

Serum samples from patients hospitalized with febrile illnesses occurring after tick bites were investigated for antibodies against agents of human granulocytic anaplasmosis (HGA) and human monocytic ehrlichiosis (HME). Ten from 205 patients were shown to contain HGA-specific antibodies, one patient — HME-specific antibodies, and one patient — both antibodies against agents of HGA and HME. Diagnosis of HGA was serologically and clinically confirmed for four patients. All patients with serologically confirmed HGA were shown to contain also antibodies against Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato or HME-specific antibodies. Moreover, one patient was shown to be infected with tick-borne encephalitis virus. Thus, it seems reasonable to analyze patients with confirmed tick-borne encephalitis as well as with febrile illness after tick bites on the infection with HGA and HME.

Abstract

Myotonic dystrophy is a multisystemic disease which mutation may influence your development and function of different organs and tissue: smooth and skeletal-muscular tissue; heart; organs of the eye, brain. Abstract

The diagnosis of Lyme borreliosis is objective difficult. There are tendention of increasing of patients the age of 51 and older. The characteristics of disease, for example fever at acute time is connected to reactivity in acute diseases in general. On time antibodies detection of patients blood with suspicion of the cronical borreliosis is not criteria of proven disease.
