Abstract

Fifty five Khakas people with Helicobacter pylori-associated ulcer disease and chronic gastritis were examined in order to estimate the production of IL-2, IL-4, and IL-10 interleukins in patients with chronic Helicobacter pylori persistence. The subpopulation composition of lymphocytes of peripheral blood was determined by the method of flow-through cytofluorometry. Apoptosis was estimated by the method of optical microscopy. The IL-2, IL-4, IL-10 production in supernatants was determined by the solidphase immunoenzymometric method. Changes revealed in the blood of patients infected with Helicobacter pylori were characterized by the increased amount and subpopulation disbalance of lymphocytes, apoptosis modification, and depletion of lymphocyte functional activity.

Abstract

Research objective was to compare effects of transplantation of cells and their nucleus on model alimentary dislipoproteinemia. Experiment is executed on the rabbits containing on an atherogenous diet. In blood serum of animals studied changes of a lipide exchange, in a liver — level of stresses-proteins, morphological changes and the maintenance of markers of an apoptosis and a proliferation. Also estimated the area of atherogenous plaques and a thickness of intima of an aorta. It is shown that unlike cellular transplantation, introduction of nucleus led to more expressed therapeutic effect and inhibition of expansion of leading links of an atherogenesis.

Abstract

The development of a combined approach to the treatment of patients with gall-bladder dysfunctions in combination with chronic opisthorhosis with allowance for all aspects of the pathological process remains an urgent problem of clinical medicine. The addition of tonic procedures to the treatment increases the adaptation capability of an organism. Symptomatic factors (pulsed travelling magnetic field) favors normalization of the functional state of the biliary excretion system. The anthelminthic therapy (ecorsol herbal drug) results in specific antiparasitic effect. In combination, the used methods provide for the high effect of performed medical and prevented measures favoring not only the reduction of pathological process, but also the prevention of its progress, which is great practical importance.

Abstract

Investigation of influence of gases nitric oxide and hydrogen sulfide on apoptotic cell death of Jurlat cells and mononuclear leucocytes of healthy donors was conducted. It was shown that 100 mmol sodium nitroprussidi increased the apoptosis of T lymphoblast leukemia cells after 15’ incubation. 10 and 100 mmol donor of hydrogen sulfide caused apoptotic death of Jurkat cells after 15’ incubation. 15’ exposure of nitric oxide and hydrogen sulfide donors did not lead to the changes of cell death of mononuclear leucocytes. Gaseous transmitters NO and H2S increased necrosis of Jurkat cells and mononuclear leucocytes after 24 h incubation with the appropriate gase’s donor.

Abstract

Mental and behavioral personality disorders provoked by substance use — alcohol and drug addictions — are similar in genesis and social consequences and this dictates necessity of gnoseological understanding of terminological apparatus of this phenomenon. Understanding of use of narcotics as a common criterion of gnoseology may testify that namely community comes forward as criterion of summarized data about considered addictions and capacity of knowledge allows considering drug and alcohol abuse as equivalent ones according to their social significance and pathogenetic patterns.

Abstract

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is primarily used in medical imaging to visualize the structure and function of the body and essential tool for diagnostics of broad range of pathologies. But still in a growing number of cases there are indications to use contrast agent to delineate areas of interest and for more precise diagnosis definition. In a review the properties and clinical applications of most popular paramagnetic contrast agents based on Gd(III), Fe(II) и Mn(II) are discussed. It is also focused on discussion of modern experimental targeted contrast agents (conjugates of antibodies, nanoparticles and dendrimers) and advances of their application for early diagnostics of most common pathologies: cardiovascular, cancer and Alzheimer diseases.

Abstract

Fault in T-lymphocytes homeostasis leads to different diseases with poor or vise versa strong immune response. So it seems to be interesting to research molecules of T-cell cooperation to develop new more effective therapeutic methods. Important factor modulating T-cell activity is galectin-1 which takes part in multiply process of cell biology — regulation of cell maturation, migration, signal transduction, functional ability and apoptosis.

Abstract

126 patients with histological diagnosis of Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma were examined using combined positronemission and computed tomography with radiotracer 18F-deoxyglucose. For staging Ann Arbor classification (1971) with Costwolds modification (1989) was used. The combined positron-emission and computed tomography pattern of Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma was established. Morphofunctional characteristics of lymphoma were determined in cases of lymph node, spleen, liver, kidneys, bones and lung lesion. Using combined positron-emission and computed tomography it can provide more accuracy in staging of Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Abstract

Ultrasound examination is the integral component of diagnostic imaging and it is widely used method for medical visualization in Russian clinical medicine. Modern diagnostic imaging inseparably linked with use of contrast agents. Currently, the use of echo-contrast agents is a compulsory condition for patient's examination with constant improvement and development of new echo-contrast agents. In Russia these agents are not widely used due to insufficient duration contrast procedure and high cost of examination. However, during the last years there are factors promoting the development and introduction of echo-contrast agents into the national market.

Abstract

In 17-year nested prospective study, the natural dynamics of hypertriglyceridemia (HTG) (development of new cases, regress), cardiovascular mortality and other mortality of patients with HTG have been examined. The nest included 630 men and 916 women from 20 to 59 years old. The HTG incident in the nest was 8.24 cases per 1000 people*years of observation. Among people 20—29 years old, new HTG cases were observed more often in men, while in the age interval of 30—59 years, new cases were more often observed in women. For the period of observation, the HTG occurrence increased 1.6 times in men and 2.1 times in women. HTG is characterized by the low course stability, and the regress level is independent of sex. Among men and women, Among men and women with HTG, brain stroke and cardiovascular mortality is higher than that among people with the normal triglyceride (TG) level. The TG level did not affect the total men mortality.

Abstract

The total nonelastic work of respiration (TNWR) was studied in 18 healthy people and 11 patients with the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with the aid of simultaneous recording of transpulmonary pressure and volume. It was found that under the conditions of identical pulmonary minute volume at air flow interruption by valve, TNWR becomes larger compared to that at quiet deep breathing. The additional resistance was called acophased and was considered as a manifestation of independent mechanical pulmonary activity.
